EU needs to act now to counter new Covid 19 outbreaks according to Stella Kyriakides the EU Commissioner for Health and Food Safety in a statement this morning.
In the statement she urged all member states to start acting now, saying that there had been a “worrying increase” in outbreaks across the union. She went on to say that there was no room for complacency and reiterated that the pandemic was far from over.
In the statement which was aired live on Cyprus state radio the EU health boss said “Unfortunately the pandemic has shown a worrying increase in several countries” “For the past two months we have been preparing for the autumn and winter, fully aware the next pandemic wave cannot and should not further burden our economies or our societies, particularly at a time when its being affected by the war and invasion of Ukraine, and inflation.” Learn More /… Click Here to receive our full Analysis direct to your inbox or Smart device
