5 Eyes warn of imminent threat to critical infrastructure – Advisory

The collective Cybersecurity Agencies of the so called 5 eyes intelligence alliance have issued an “Advisory” (- spook speak for a critical warning) quoting credible intelligence of imminent, multiple Cyber-attacks on Critical Infrastructure orchestrated by Moscow linked “threat actors”
Evolving Intelligence
The Spook alliance which includes US Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, the US Federal Bureau of Investigation, US National Security Agency, Australian Cyber Security Centre, Canadian Centre for Cyber Security, New Zealand’s National Cyber Security Centre, UK National Cyber Security Centre, and the UK National Crime Agency have indicated that the Kremlin is exploring options for potential cyber attacks.
Some cybercrime and cyber threat groups have recently publicly pledged support for the Russian government in light of its invasion into Ukraine. These Russian-aligned cybercrime groups have threatened to conduct cyber operations in retaliation for perceived cyber offensives against the Russian government and the Russian people.
Some of the cybercrime groups that have aligned with the Russian government include The CoomingProject, Killnet, Mummy Spider, Salty Spider, Scully Spider, Smokey Spider, Wizard Spider, and the Xaknet Team.
