GEO´ Correspondent, Dan Carter reporting from Islamabad, has confirmed reports that the Taliban’s political leader Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar together with other members of the Taliban’s senior leadership have returned to the Afghan capital Kabul [their “spiritual birthplace”] after 20 years in exile in Qatar.

Baradar, is one of the founding members of the Taliban and was only released from prison to help facilitate the peace process where he was seen as an instrumental part of the US negotiations in Qatar.
