ISRAEL-HAMAS WAR – There is a glimmer of hope that the current “four day” truce window brokered by Qatar which ends today [Monday, 27711723] could be extended to enable further hostage releases and to continue with the humanitarian effort. Hamas has already said it wants to extend the truce and now US President Joe Biden has called for an extension. 2. CHINA ECONOMY – China´s beleagured Economy has had a minor boost with China´s industrial firms extending gains for the third month (October) albeit at a slower pace than China would like. COP 28 UAE – The BBC has reported this morning that the UAE planned to use its role as host of COP 28 The UN Climate Conference which starts on 30 November, as a platform to further fossil fuel deals. Leaked documents verified by the BBC were prepared by the UAE’s COP28 team for meetings with at least 27 foreign governments ahead of the COP28 summit.
