ISRAEL/HAMAS — In a deal brokered by the US, a tacit agreement by Israel has been reached to daily four hour humanitarian “pauses” in its continued assault on Gaza as it seeks to “eradicate” Hamas. The announcement was first aired by US President Joe Biden yesterday [091123] after the US auto-suggested that Israel had to “give” in order to receive continued US support. US IN IRAQ – American military lives have been spared after a defective attack drone on the Erbil air base hosing US military personnel, failed to detonate further keeping the US from being dragged further an already fragile Middle-east. The “dawn raid” drone attack on 26th October 2023 penetrated U.S. air defences and crashed into the second floor of the barracks housing American troops. 3. US ECONOMY – Fed Reserve chairman Jerome Powell has mooted caution toward further rises in US interest rates suggesting that the Fed (Federal Reserve Bank) was “in no hurry” to further raise  its benchmark ate amid an overall easing on domestic inflation which is continuing to fall organically with some analysts forecasting a drop in the first quarter of 2024. 4. SPAIN – Spain’s “Acting Prime Minister” Pedro Sánchez has reached an agreement with a Catalan separatist party bringing his tenure for another term closer. However many angered Spaniards think he has sold his soul to the devil prompting right-wing protesters to take to the streets in Madrid with fears that protests could spread throughout Spain this weekend. 5. UK POLITICS – UK Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak is coming under pressure to sack his Home Secretary, Suella Braverman as colleagues see her “political attitude” as divisive. In yet another controversial move Braverman has angered her colleagues by publishing an unauthorised article accusing the Metropolitan Police of effective of bias by operating a separate policy for right-wing and pro-Palestinian protesters.
