REUTERS has reported that Global Energy giant Shell has teamed up with big-date analysts SparkCognition to adopt AI Technology to aid both its deep sea exploration and to boost offshore output.
According to the article SparkCognition’s AI algorithms will process and analyse large amounts of seismic data in the hunt for new oil reservoirs by Shell.
The announcement comes hard on the heels of yesterday impassioned pleas by the Sam Altman, the CEO of OpenAI, the company behind ChatGPT, who has called on US lawmakers to regulate artificial intelligence (AI).
