IRAN-US: Facta non verba – Raisi
Following hard on the heels of the controversial “Spy Swap” AP Has reported that Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi has said that relations with the United States can move forward if Washington demonstrates it wants to return to the 2015 nuclear deal – he told a news conference that the US has reached out to the “pariah” state through several back channels “saying they wish to have a dialogue, but we do believe that it must be accompanied by action.” Could this see a thawing of relations between the two countries…
POLAND-UKRAINE: Grain deal causes weapons freeze Poland has gone on record as saying that it is to stop supplying weapons to Ukraine over the recent grain row and comments that Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky recently made to the UN. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said Poland’s focus was instead on defending itself with more modern weapons. Zelensky has said that it was alarming how some of Ukraine’s friends in Europe were playing out solidarity “in a political theatre – making a thriller from grain”…
AZERBAIJAN-KARABAKH: Ceasefire halts Karabakh offensive. The Karabakh “counter-terror” offensive has halted after ceasefire agreement with Armenian separatists.
