CHINESE FOREIGN MINISTER
Mystery continues to surround the whereabouts of Qin Gang the former Foreign Minister of China as he is summarily replaced by his predecessor Wang Yi. This follows considerable conjecture and concern as to his fate after he “went missing” over 3 weeks ago.
Appointed to the post last December [2022] The former Ambassador to the US, Qin Gang was a rising star in China Politics – Ambitious, Diligent and well liked on the World stage Qin has missed significant diplomatic engagements, including a gathering of foreign ministers in Indonesia. NORTH KOREA WELCOMES UNHOLY ALLIANCE
North Korea has welcomed Senior Delegations from both China and Russia – invited by Pyongyang to attend the pariah states´ 70th Anniversary celebrations of the 1953 armistice that ended the Korean War.
After an extended time of Covid induced isolation North Korea is pushing the boat out with “spectacular” celebrations and a Military Display based on Russia´s Annual Red Square Military display. The Chinese delegation is being led by CCP member Li Hongzhong while the Russians have fielded a party headed by Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu. UK SERIOUSLY UNDERESTIMATED WAGNER GROUP IN AFRICA
A damning report by the Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Committee has seriously criticised the UK Government for substantial intelligence failings in its assessment of PMC Wagner Group operations on Putin´s proxy in Africa in its latest findings “Guns for gold: the Wagner Network exposed”.
The Committee found that, for nearly 10 years, the Government has under-played and under-estimated the Wagner Network’s activities, as well as the security implications for Europe and its significant expansion in Africa. NAT WEST BOSS FALLS ON HER SWORD
Despite a huge damage limitation campaign NatWest boss Dame Alison Rose has resigned after she was revealed as the source of the information leaked about about ex-UKIP leader Nigel Farage and his plight with “Posh” peoples Bank Coutts & Co.
Her decision came hard on the heels of the Government raising “significant concerns” about her tenure after Farage objected to being effectively “de-banked” for his political views instead of his funds falling below the Banks “Exclusive Criteria”
The only positive and “public interest” factor in this entire tale is that it prompted Farage to confirm that he is not about to return to Politics, when asked he is reported to have said “I’m not about to do that, no,” Thank heaven for small mercies!
