This week sees the 49th G7 (Group of Seven) Leaders Summit scheduled from Fri, May 19, 2023 – Sun, May 21, 2023
 
Hosted this year by Japan and fielded in 2023, perhaps poignantly, in Hiroshima and with two notable exemptions China and Russia – ironically these two countries are going to be general focus of the summit together with concerns about Taiwan.
 
The G7 countries: the United States, Japan, Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Canada and Italy are all aligned economically to China, the world’s second-largest economy and a key global manufacturing base and market.
