UKRAINE: Putin faces critical backlash from inner-sanctum – Analysis

The Washington Post has run a story, citing US intelligence, said Wagner group financier Yevgeniy Prigozhin has accused the military on relying on his mercenaries while failing to finance the group or provide necessary resources. It is already known that Prigozhin has ambitions for Putin’s job.
Mr. Prigozhin has denied criticising the Russian Armed Forces, but he has made repeated public attacks on his country’s Ministry of Defence.
The diminutive despot has also been “directly confronted” by members of his inner-sanctum over his progress or rather lack of it as his “Special Military Operation” as he struggles to make any progress in Ukraine.
